It has been a while since I have added anything to this. I've kinda been out of the loop and not as dedicated as I thought I'd be here. I decided to check out what some of my friends have been up to and it was great to be able to get some insight as to how they are doing. I guess I'm one of those types that gets involved with others, then kind of disappears for a while. That probably sounds more negative that it was meant to be. I tend to get too involved with work, and it sort of becomes my life until I've had too much and need to step back. That's where I'm at right now. Not expecting anyone will read this, so it's more of a place to vent I guess. Tomorrow is my hubby's b-day. He sleeps in late, so I'm going to completely decorate downstairs before he wakes up. Heading out to the party supply store here in a while. I finally got my restriction removed from my drivers license yesterday. I'm legal to drive anywhere now!!! Not that I didn't already do that with the restrictions, but oh what a relief to finally have all of that behind me. A word to the wise..... Don't drink and drive! It's soooo much cheaper (if you are going to be drinking) to get a cab. Trust me on that one. I visited a website I hadn't been to in a while this morning. Great animation clip on there - I may have put a link here before to it, but what the hell - it's a great one that I'll always enjoy watching. Has a great message. The clip is called MORE. Take a peek..... http://www.happyproduct.com/moremovie/more1.htmlI will be traveling back to Ireland in a few months for work. Very much looking forward to that. I even considered moving there, but with how hard it is to move there if you do not have a job already lined up, my hubby wouldn't be able to go with me. Can't have that, so it's here we stay..... At least for now. We are looking to move here soon - closer in to the bay. Would love to rent a house that shares no common walls with anyone!! I think we'll find something soon. Or at least I'm hopeful of it. That's about it for now........ Current Location: Office Current Mood: flirty Current Music: None, just the frickin' birds a squakin'

Well I have finally made it back from Ireland. Was given half a day's notice that I'd be going, and nearly stayed there three weeks (with several flight changes along the way). All in all, I had a wonderful experience over there. This was my first visit there so it was all the more enjoyable. I regret that with three weeks I didn't have enough time to see the country side. I did make it out to a few village pubs, but that was at night, so not a lot to see along the way. Dublin is quite a place though. Very beautiful, very old. Lots of brick and stone buildings. Stone walls everywhere. And the cathedrals are absolutely beautiful. I was lucky with the weather, as it only rained one day I was there. Very cold though, not something I'm all that used to these days. I spent allot of time wandering around the city centre and am proud to say I know it like the back of my hand now. Although, a few days in it and most anyone would. I really enjoyed all of the people I met too. People are so friendly, and have the best stories to tell. There seemed to be quite a difference in how people welcome you over there as opposed to here. Not complaining (too much) about here, but I did notice they are more outgoing and willing to meet new people. Sexually, I had some wonderful experiences as well... but hey, what happens in Ireland, stays in Ireland, right? :) I did manage to catch a bad cold toward the last day I was there, probably more like the flu now. It'll be gone soon though so I can't complain too much. Nice to be home but I'm really looking forward to going back over there soon...... Current Mood: sick

Last week I arrived in Scotland, to then find out that they decided to send me to Ireland the next day. So I visited a supplier after arriving in Edinburgh, went about 30 hours without sleep, then went to the hotel and crashed only to get up early to fly into Dublin. I was really looking forward to spending time in Scotland, but that will have to happen another time. Dublin - I really like. The weather has been sunny but very cold. I've visited many pubs since getting here. They are beautiful, and full of friendly people. I think I'd be broke if I lived here! I'll probably end up staying through Saturday which will give me a few days to myself. Actually, Sat and Sun I had to myself. I've gone out several times with folks I'm working with over here. Has been fun but would really like to meet some bears or others with the same interests. I do miss Brad. At least I've been able to call and hear his voice. He's excited for me being over here. Can't wait to bring home all the stuff I've bought him! I'm going to have to buy another bag. Not enough room in my suitcase for everything! Well, it's about 10 am, traffic should be good by now so I best be hailing a taxi. If anyone has friends over here, or knows of interesting places to go, do tell! It was around lunch time yesterday at work when I got the news. I had been running around, trying to cater to everyone's 'This Is Hot' or 'Please Expedite' requests for materials to be released. I was tired, hungry and in no mood for what I was about to hear. I passed my office and went directly to the cafe at work to order some food. By the way, the sandwich I had gave me awful heartburn - not even my daily prilosec would cure. Anyway, as I usually do, I get my food to go so that I can eat in my office. This is always a big mistake because I always get interrupted and no-one seems to care that my feeding time is important to me. Anyway, knowing I'll be bombarded, I went to my desk to eat. There was a piece of paper on my chair that looked like a letter typed out. Okay, so I thought maybe someone was turning in a resignation. Great! Maybe that little son of a bitch..... awww, I shouldn't say that. I'm just emotional and don't really mean it. I placed my food down and picked up the letter. The first thing my eyes went to was the picture of him waving goodbye at the door. My mind was racing, I started to panic and looked around my office in dis-belief. We have been together for so long now, and just like that he decides to leave me? And leave a picture to boot?!!? WTF! After calming down enough to sit in my chair, I continued to the verbiage portion of the letter. "Dear Marc, I've decided that there is not enough room for my presence here any longer. My wandering spirit needs to move on and explore what else is out there for me. I'm sure at some point we'll be together again, but I can't and won't say if or when that will be. Please know that I have truly enjoyed all of the times we have shared together and one day hope we can share them again. Until that day, I say goodbye." Then the signature was one like I've never seen before. I looked again at the photo and simply could not believe it. The only thing I could do was burst out in laughter. Sitting here today at home, I wonder...... Just where is that adorable little Gnome of mine that always greeted me at my desk. Someone at work is looking for retaliation, and oh I can't wait to play this game with them..... Current Mood: sad
